About the Festival

The free seven day literary and book festival will be held June 16–22 at multiple locations throughout Grand Rapids.

Indie bookstores and literary venues are partnering with the festival to bring readers a variety of bookish events throughout the week. Please check the event calendar for current event details.

Festival Organizers

Alby Blazo

Alby Blazo is the founder of Love, Luna Press and a grant-award winning author. Her short stories have been featured in several international anthologies, and she has participated in poetry readings around the globe. Alby also writes spicy romance under the name Leesa Mason. When not writing, she can most often be found in her garden or admiring her cats.

Susan Clark

Susan Clark has had the privilege of working in many capacities, traveling, and living in numerous places. Her experiences, formal education, and life lessons have led her to her current roles of community builder, host of the podcast “Not Great…Grand! Action Based Community Conversations,” and author. She can be reached via email when she‘s not on the trails or in the water.

Kimberly Straub

Kimberly Straub is a fiction based writer residing in Grand Rapids. With a deep fascination for mythology and folklore, Kimberly creates worlds where the past and present collide, bringing ancient legends to life in fresh, compelling ways. 

She has been a guest writer on numerous blogs, and her stories have been featured in Writer’s Digest Magazine and Scribbler. When not writing, Kimberly collects dark and ominous travel stories for her podcast, The Twilight Traveler.

Stefanie Gilmour

Stefanie is the author of The Alex Steward Series, a fast-paced urban fantasy series with a female werewolf lead. When she’s not penning Alex’s next thrilling adventure, Stefanie is a graphic designer who enjoys creepy and fantastical stories. Her short fiction has been published in The Quiet Ones literary magazine.

Plants, concerts, books, and writing are a few of her favorite things. She’s a Midwest native and lives there with her patient husband and their tolerant cats.
